I would like to have the same custom screen tip used
several times without having to re-type it each time. Is
there a way to do this? I tried creating a macro but
that didn't work in the custom screen tip dialog window.
Appreciate any suggestions.

Hi Jack,

What kind of "custom screen tips" are you talking about?

Hi Cindy,

Thanks for the reply. I am putting an hyperlink from a
table at the beginning of a Word document to a more
detailed description of the table item in the body of the
document. When the user hovers over the link, I was
adding the following: "Follow Link for Detailed
Information". I have over two hundred items that would
be linked to a bookmark in the document and everytime I
create the hyperlink I have to retype the above message
as a screen tip. I'm just looking for an easier way than
having to type it each time. Thanks for your help.

Is there some reason you're not just using Ctrl+V to paste this in to the
Edit Hyperlink dialog?

Hi Jack,

I think Suzanne's suggestion about Ctrl+V is going to be
your best bet.

the only other possibility would be to use VBA to create the
Hyperlinks. But that would probably be more work...

Ctrl+V is one you should never forget, as there are many dialogs where you
can paste text in no other way. In addition, you can often use Ctrl+C to
copy text from error messages and the like.
